This belief guided Jayy, then an entrepreneur and fitness enthusiast in Amsterdam, through one of his life’s most challenging periods. Amid navigating the aftermath of a chocolate import business that showed initial success, including distributing to over 50 stores in Amsterdam and nearly securing a major deal with the wholesale company Lekkerland, which ultimately didn’t go through, Jayy suffered a devastating back injury during a routine fitness session—not as a trainer, but as someone simply trying to stay fit. This injury, combined with his business struggles, left him financially and physically broken.
In his darkest hour, the path forward came unexpectedly when his old friend Greg, who was close to obesity, reached out for help. As they embarked on a fitness journey together, Jayy rediscovered his potential and witnessed the transformative power of dedicated fitness regimes. Greg’s success in losing weight and gaining confidence inspired Jayy profoundly. “Seeing Greg transform was a revelation; it reminded me of the impact that supportive, guided fitness can have,” Jayy reflects.
Greg’s transformation didn’t just inspire Jayy—it also caught the attention of others. At that moment, Jayy decided to commit to the fitness industry and stay in it. Before ever pursuing big business in the fitness industry, he resolved to sharpen the skills needed to achieve success with his clients. This was and remains his main focus.
This pivotal experience catalyzed Jayy’s transition from a struggling entrepreneur to a committed personal trainer in Amsterdam.
